Storia e cultura

In 1975 the Sicilian painter Salvatore Fiume offered to revitalize the historical center of the village free of charge. Between 1975 and 1996 he painted some internal and external walls of the semi-detached castle and in 1977 the dome of the chapel of San Rocco. Subsequently he placed, during the nineties, a bronze statue in each of the two Fiumefreddesi squares facing the sea.
